What I’ve done is when you sync the iPhone to iTunes and it says something like “Josh’s iPhone”, right click on the name and click transfer purchases. Then iTunes will do everything for you.

I have had an iPhone for 1 1/2 years, otherwise I have used pc for 30 years. I find it completely ridiculous that iPhone cannot transfer files back to a computer without any auxillary programs. If the apps I need (some music stuff) were published for a smartphone working Windows like I would not use anything Apple at all.

    That’s what apple do!
Probably they are thinking of protect copyright or earn more money from their iTunes.
They worried that you will transfer these music to other one’s iPhone. XD
